Gallery version 1.1.10 has been running for quite a while without  a problem 3 catagorys
4 Albums in 2 cats 1 album in third
cat 2 has an album called birds I uploaded a picture to it tuesday  yesterday I uploaded a  picture to animals  these could all be viewed,
this morning  I added a picture to insects
now all I can see under catagorys are thumbnails for everything except animals birds insects
click on any album in any catogory brings up boxes with a red cross
any ideas what is wrong and how I can correct it

Update your gallery. Anything older than 1.4 is no longer supported.

The rest of the message was correct
ie after loading a picture on tuesday in one album another on wed in another album everything still worked ok a third picture loaded today in to a third album all in the same catagory after this  the thumbnails in catagory view displayed only a box and x  for those three albums ,other albums in the same catogory show thumbnails
all albums in all catagorys only display box x in album view and will not display the photo
is this an album problem or have I a database problem ,whats my best approach to sorting this

403 error - check file permissions and any anti-hotlinking code.

Put it down to my age  :-[
I must have had a senior moment and set permissions back to 744 instead of 755
having had the site hacked last year ,I get a tad paranoid about setting permisions to high
now its working again I will upgrade it to the latest version
