Ok, I accidentally reset all views to -0-.  I have read all message board info and do have a backup.  Question is: is it safe to only reinstall what Nibbler had suggested:
QuoteIt's the `hits` field in the picture table.
Or should more dbases, or indeed the entire dbase be reinstalled.

PS I have since removed the default ON setting for this Admin Tool.

Any advice given by Nibbler is OK. He's one of the most skilled Coppermine developers.

Gephri

Right GauGau - you and Nibbler have saved me a few times.
It's just that he didn't say whether just the the data in the ONE field needed to be replaced or if others too.

Nibbler

That's the only field affected by the admin tools 'reset views' option.

Gephri

Thank you GauGau and Nibbler - backup worked as it should.
One last thing - is there any mod yet developed that will automatically (daily) backup my Coppermine gallery?

Joachim Müller

We have a strict "one question per thread" policy that you agreed to respect when signing up. Your last question is clearly not related at all to your initial question. Someone with a post count as high as yours should be well aware of that policy already. Marking thread as "solved" and locking it.
Browse the plugins board for the backup plugin by Frantz (read the entire thread there). However that plugin will not create backups automatically - you will have to manually trigger them. You'd need to create a cronjob to accomplish automated backups, which is not a feature of that plugin. I suggest reviewing the great backup tool "MySqlDumper" (see "Tools recommended by the devs -> mySqlDumper") that features automated backups based on cron jobs as well. Another option would be paying your webhost to create and maintain those backups for you.
