Hi there ;)

I don't have time to manage the gallery by myself, so I decided to give access a group of trusted people. They should be able to create albums and add pictures to them. How this can be done in coppermine? I noticed a user can only have a private gallery (if enabled in config) and upload to a public album, but what about creating albums?

Thanks

Only admins can create albums in public categories. No mod, no hack, no workaround to circumvent this limitation. Has been asked many, many times over (searching the board before starting yet another thread on this issue would have been appreciated) - answer remains the same.

You mean only admins?

And yes, I've searched the forums ;)

One (dirty) way is to grant admin privileges only to users you trust. There's one issue -  how to do that they don't mess up the config, etc.?

Coppermine definitely needs a role-based user management...

Thanks for help, GauGau.

Sure, sorry for the confusion. I edited my posting accordingly.

Not recommended at all.

Not at all, that's why it isn't recommended ;)

Has been requested often, and improvements are in the dev pipeline.
