Hi, i'm having trouble with the thumbnails on my gallery. I made my own thumbs and ftp'd them
into the same folder as the pictures, used the right prefix as set in the gallery (thumb_) and
the rest of the name same as the file name. The problem is when i upload all that ish and add
to the album, the gallery does not use my thumbs but it's own. It kinda does not recognize them
or something, tho they are in the folder. Can it be something with permissions? I've spent A LOT
of time to make those thumbnails and i really don't want them to go to waste. Has anybody got
an idea of what the problem might be ? My host can't help me. Thank you very much in advance.

( i'm deeply sorry if i posted this in the wrong place, it's confusing. )

That's where you problem lies - you're not suppossed to add those thumbs to the album - you just upload the files by FTP and that's it.
Post a deep link to a coppermine page that is suppossed to show a custom thumb but doesn't.

Lizz

hi, thank for replying!
..so you mean the thumbnails do not belong in the same folder as the pictures ?

No, the thumbs belong in the same folder, you just don't add them with 'batch add'.
Upload the thumbs to the album directory of your files, and that's it!

Which of those files is suppossed to show a custom thumbnail? There are no videos there as far as I can see, so regular thumbs should be fine for all your pics.

my 2 previous galleries and everything worked fine..this is one is giving me hard time.

This is a matter of setup. It's not a matter of uploading custom thumbnails. You might have to use Stramm's modpack if you want squre thumbs.

Lizz

okay, i'll try the mod pack :).
Thank you very much for all the help everybody!

uhm do i have to get a newer version of cpg ?

Thanks.

Always use the most recent releases. Upgrade to cpg1.4.16, then on to modpack cpg1.4.16_modpack
