After uploading a photo, it then asks me to pick an album. Once I pick an album, whether I'm logged in as Admin or a standard-level user, it ALWAYS says

"The Previous File Cannot Be Placed
You Have Successfully Placed all the files."

A little contradictory? Any ideas?

Thanks.

Most questions, such as yours, have been answered before. That's when the Search button comes in to play. Use it.

Also remember to post nice little items such as a url to your gallery for example.

I spent some time searching and didn't come up with anything that seems exactly like what I'm experiencing.

The gallery's URL is: http://www.rockstaradventures.net/photos/

Thanks for any pointers any of you may be able to provide - I certainly appreciate it.

The pointer is: RTFM! Particularly the sections "upload troubleshooting" and "asking for support on upload issues". Do as suggested there.

[rant]Man, it really makes me sick, having to repeat this over and over on each and every upload thread... >:([/rant]

I understand, really, I run a forum of my own. My issue is that my searches didn't turn up the answers I was looking for. I'll continue to search... and if you have any bookmarks or URLs, off the top of your head, that will get me to the right topic, I'd appreciate it if you could post them.

Let's start with updating. You appear to be running <!--Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.3.3--> when 1.4.16 is the current stable version. Upgrade first, that alone might enough to solve the problem.

Joachim Müller

Cheers Hein for spotting. Moving thread accordingly.

@marcamos: cpg1.3.x goes unsupported. Moving to deprecated board. As Hein suggested, you're only allowed to post questions on upgrading to cpg1.4.x - no other questions are allowed in relation to cpg1.3.x. You shouldn't even have started your thread here.

After upgrading, return to this thread, re-read it and then do as I suggested, starting a new thread with the needed information - you don't have to search anything, but just read the f*** manual (aka documentation) and do as suggested in the sections I refered to. Should not be that hard. You had a bad start here - please do as supporters suggest and search before posting; really...

marcamos

I'll do an upgrade then, thanks for the tip/pointer.
