I've recently moved my image gallery site to Coppermine. I started working putting the site together in a subdirectory of my web server before moving it over to the root directory.

I've been adding ads and such to my site via template.html. I recently made a change to it and for whatever reason the site didnt apply the changes. I then tried to change the theme, it was set to hard wired, and the theme won't change either.

However the buttons and links change format, but the css, etc, stays the same.

Since moving the site down from a sub-directory to the root directory of my web server, I did change the option in the config to reflect its new location.

Any thoughts?

Here is my site, It is adult oriented, not pornographic, but not for children.

I accidentally posted in the wrong forum. Please move to the according forum.

I can't seem to edit it.

I'm not sure I understand the issue. Are you manually changing the theme by appending a url prefix? What are you entering? There's no theme selector for us to easily test theme changing issues. Looking at the source, I saw reference to water_drop for some images. Was that intentional?

I'm trying to change the theme via the config panel. However its not changing the theme it is only changing some of the attributes of the theme, such as the the water_drop images.

I'm not trying to use a theme selector. However I did just add the theme selector from the config panel so you can see what happens when the theme is changed.

What's the name of the theme you're trying to use as default theme?

xof7

Well when some changes that I made in the template.html file in the hardwired theme directory didnt actually go through on the site, I tried changing the theme.

I currently want to keep it on hard wired but I do plan on having a theme created for my site.

Are you trying to be difficult? I asked for the name of the theme, that's all - you should have posted "the theme name is <<hardwired>>" if that's what your issues are about. If you edited the theme "hardwired" and your changes don't show, then you're looking into the wrong place: your site is already set to use the theme "hardwired" - there's no use to look into the theme selector on the config page, as it already is set to use hardwired there. If you are trying to use another theme but hardwired, you should post the name of that theme.
If your issue is that your changes to the hardwired theme don't stick, make sure that you actually uploaded your changes to the proper folder and that your FTP app is configured to overwrite existing files.

No I am not trying to be difficult. I am trying to point out that if I try to change my theme via the config panel while logged in as an administrator, the theme does not change, instead the hardwired color scheme and back ground images are shown but the images of the selected theme appear on the site.

Ignore what I said about modifying the template.html file. The changes that I am making to it are adding advertisements and are a separate problem I believe.

Joachim Müller

For the last time: what's the name of the theme you're trying to switch to?

xof7

Right now the theme is set to "Rainy Day".
Instead of displaying the entire "Rainy Day" theme, it is displaying the hardwired background with the "Rainy Day" navigation buttons.

Any theme I switch to gives me the same problem.

Delete the template.html from your Coppermine root directory.
