What is or is there a bbcode for opening a text link in a new window. One of my albums features a guest artist and her link. I'd rather my visitors not surf from my gallery entirely, but to have my guest artist's page appear in a new target window.
Currently I have this:
Url Text =>
Can I insert target=blank and if so where in this syntax would it go?
Thanks

Do you really want to do this?  "target=" is deprecated in current versions of HTML.

If you've got a good site with attractive content you shouldn't worry about visitors surfing away from you. And if they DO want to, why make life difficult for them by cluttering up their screens?

I thought it was the norm on the net. Opening another tab is preferable though.
I do it out of fairness to the other photographer whose site I am crediting. This is not a pop up, just another browser window. Is there a syntax for the target=
I will try and experiment with it.
Thanks in advance

As Steve suggested: many users (like myself) don't like to be bossed around; I know my way around in my browser and like to decide for myself if I want to open a link in a new window or a new browser tab. If sites force new browser windows, I usually leave those sites at once and never come back, as their attitude sucks in my opinion. By default, links should not have the tagret attribute set at all. Just because other site owners are opening new windows doesn't mean that you should. I strongly suggest to review the idea.
