Ok after many attempts it appears I was sucessful in upgrading to 1.4 from 1.3.1 EXCEPT I have tried every admin/password combination possible and I can't log in as admin to do the bridge!!!

Why is this happening?

The 1.3.1 was intergrated with my phpbb2 forums which I upgraded to phpbb3. How can I find the admin username and password?

the coppermine gallery is at http://www.michiganoutdoorsman.com/newphoto

You need the coppermine admin details you used when you installed Coppermine. You can see either them in phpmyadmin, use the 'forgot password' feature in Coppermine, or you can use a small script by Sami (search the board for it).

CaptainDon

ok thanks I will give that a try.

I am also getting this error when I click a thunbnail to see a picture full size...

Yeah, that's caused by not updating your theme properly. There are theme upgrade instructions in the docs or just re-apply your changes to one of the built-in themes.

CaptainDon

Ok I thought I was using the "Kaki" theme and updated that one and it ran the check and it checked out ok... how do I see what theme I am using. My problem here is I had someone else create the photo gallery and I am trying to take over and running into alot of issues as expected!

Also on my server I have like 5 "phpmyadmin" and have no clue where to look or is that file supposed to be in the photo gallery script?

I also have been searching for that sami script with no luck!

Thank you so much for your help I really appreciate it!

CaptainDon

Ok I am in as admin...now I just need to fix this error, I followed the steps for the "Kaki" theme update and that web page check said there was no mistakes!

CaptainDon

Ok but now I went and changed the photo link at the top of my forums so it would direct to the new photo gallery and I ran the bridging wizzard and now when I goto the http://www.michiganoutdoorsman.com/newphoto I get a Fatal error!

Man and I thought I was so close Grrrrrrrrrrrr!

Nibbler

phpbb3 bridge is a user contribution that goes unsupported...

CaptainDon

Ok so I had everything so close and now I'm screwed to put it mildly? I updated the kaki theme. But now what do I do? I don't want to lose everything and the bridging was supported in the last version?

Nibbler

Bridging to phpbb2 is supported, 3 is not. Check the phpbb3 thread and see if any of the suggestions there help you.

CaptainDon

Ok thanks. It just would be nice to be able to log in as an admin and disable the bridging I just did so i can at least have a stand alone photo gallery so all my pics still show up in my forum!!!!! But with a page that just says "Fatal Error" I can't do that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also a note BEFORE you try to bridge about it not being supported would be a kind thing to do...UNREAL!

We can expect you to read the docs, can't we? From the docs, section "Available bridge files":
QuoteCoppermine can be integrated with the following bulletin boards (eg. Coppermine and your bulletin board will share the same user database).
  • Invision Power Board
  • Mambo
  • MyBB
  • Phorum
  • phpBB 2
  • PunBB
  • SMF 1.x
  • SMF 2.x (beta)
  • vBulletin
  • XMB
  • Xoops2
phpbb3 is not being mentioned there.

Again, the docs, section "Recover from failed bridging":
QuoteIf you have provided improper settings using the bridge manager, your integration might fail, resulting (in the worst case) in a stituation where bridging is enabled, but you can not log in as admin to switch it off again (e.g. if you provided improper cookie settings that stops authentication from working). For this situation a recovery setting was built into the bridge manager: if you are not logged in as coppermine admin (in fact: not logged in at all) and you access the URL of your bridge manager (http://yourdomain.tld/your_coppermine_folder/bridgemgr.php) by entering it manually into the address bar of your browser, you are prompted to enter your admin account details - use the admin account you used to install coppermine with in the first place (the standalone admin account). This will not log you in, but switch integration off, so you can fix improper bridging settings then. To avoid others trying to guess your admin account details, there's a login treshold that rises every time you enter wrong credentials, so enter your admin account details with care.

Bridging to phpbb3 has never been supported, in no coppermine version ever.

Side-note: you have another open thread with the similar questions: "Coppermine/phpbb3 integrating problem!!!". Don't cross-post.
