Hey there ....

Moved servers for my site, and for the gallery I cannot remember the log in password/username, had cookie set so never needed to remember .. till now.

I'm main admin and have full cpanel hosting with ftp so have access to all files, could anyone tell how to reset this or find the file which is can be changed please?

Thanks

(also ... can my name be changed to triley please, or have an email sent to the email address for that account .. have also forgotten its password, lol)

in cpanel go to phpMyadmin and go to the users portion of your database for coppermine, you should find it there.

thanks for the reply .. I see the table, and the user_name and user_password entries. But the default and attribute fields are blank .. where will they be shown please? :)

Find your login name, and your password should be nearby.

I am in the same fix, got hacked into, so I changed my password, wrote it down, threw it away, how do I get to the cpanel in phpmyadmin? Or do I have to install that program.

Thanks

if you have no other means to enter your admin panel, you'll have to resort to asking your webhost to reset your password. This will make your coppermine gallery (and any other apps) temporarily unavailable.
If the cpanel password is the same you use as mySQL pasword, download the config.in.php file that exists in the include directory of coppermine and open it with a text editor. You'll see your database password there in plain text (no need to make your webhost change your password in this case).
