this totally came out of the blue.. I havent changed any configs or anything, and I suddenly get this error..

any clues?

BTW, this is integrated with Invision power board (same database even) and it is working fine, its just coppermine..

edit: I just repaired the table via mysql, but im still wondering WHY this happened?? I really dont want to have to repair the table all the time.

Happens for many reasons. If the server went down or the process was terminated in the middle of writing to the database, you will get a corrupt table.
