Is it possible to modify upload date for some photos? I have about 100 photos in one album and I need to sort them by upload date. Problem is, that first 50 photos were uploaded same day, but photos was taken different days. I think that only way to sort them corretly is change upload date for first about 50 photos in data base. How to do this? After this CPG will work correctly?

Nibbler

Just use the manual sort feature in Coppermine.

I'm affraid it's not that easy :(

Every album in my gallery have photos sorted by upload date. Newest photos are displayed in front. When I change sort rules in one album (f.e. by filename), it will effect to every other album.

In this album, I upload photos of big road/bridge constructions. I've make photos few times before costruction starts, and now I add few new photos per week. New photos are displayed correctly, but photos before construction starts not. They were uploaded the same day, so now they are mixed. Maybe when I modify upload date it will be display chronologically.

Manual sort feature aka "Sort my pictures". Read more about it: http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#ecard_log_end

Thank you for advice, I've tried this before posting my question. It only effect when in Config sort by parameter is set to "position ascending" or "posiotion descending". But I need "Date descending" so manual order in Picture Manager  not working.

The only option to modify the upload date is by manually editing the content of the database using a tool like phpMyAdmin. To accomplish that, you'll need to browse the table "yourTablePrefix_pictures" and edit the records for mtime and ctime, where ctime is the Unix time stamp. There's no control built into coppermine's user interface to allow that. Why don't you name your files before uploading them (from "foo_bar.jpg" to "2008-11-08_foo_bar.jpg") and then go to the "regular" sorting method (by file name)? That would be much easier imo.
