Thankyou for a verry nice and good gallery - even on my language - swedish  :D

I have chosen this gallery for some reassons.
I have registred users who can upload their pictures in servral categories.
I have 5 categories and want NO personal albums - just upload in this categories.
How do i change accessrights to the users so they can upload in this categories ?

senario:
Mickey wants to upload 5 pictures of an rainbow
he logs in and upload the 5 pictures in the category Rainbows

You upload into albums, not categories. Set upload permissions on the groups page and in the album properties of the albums you create.

Users cannot post albums in catagories.  Why not?  When you have a forum, all users are allowed to post in pre-defined catagories so reading and organization is based on different catagories of subjects.

Creating photo albums & catagories is no differen. However, with coppermine, only I can create albums in catagories and allow users to post to them.  First of all, why should I have to do that when I'm able to designate catagories in the first place?  And, that does not allow each user to create their own album in each catagory.  Everyone's photos are lumped together in an album I have to create.  I tried coppermine a year ago and dumped it for this very reason.  Apply this same reasoning to the message boards set-up and it doesn't make any sense, does it?

Millions of people are participants in groups.  They post messages in pre-defined catagories and sub-catagories on the boards.  Coppermine's photo gallery should be the same.

It's already in the next version.

The question "why?" doesn't apply except if you like answers like "that's how it was coded".

As Nibbler suggested: the feature you're looking for will be in cpg1.5.x. No scheduled release date. You're free to check out the current dev version from SVN (no guarantees, no support for dev versions).
