help: showing parent category on album list page

I have a page that displays the top level albums for a category, and I wish to show the category its in. See the attached picture, I want the bit where i have "want to show.." to have the category as displayed in the last part of the breadcrumb above it.

I editing the function theme_display_album_list in themes.php and want to extract it from there ideally.

Ok if you look at the picture above it is a category page that displays the albums with the thumbnails.
On that Image there is some text "Want to show the category here!" I want that text to be replaced with the name of the
category that this page is in.

That is, if you look at the breadcrumb, the last category there is "New South Wales"
this is the text I want to put into the space where I have written "Want to show the category here!"
Does that make more sense?
