How to upload a big image and to resize it automaticly...

Is there a way to upload a picture ..lets say one that have 5 MB  and the script to make that picture smaller to 400 kb ... is a plugin or a function for this?

if your pictures are to big, you must resize them on your local computer before uploading into the gallery.

Plus resizing on your own computer keeps the administrator of your host happy as wel. Resizing on the server takes a lot resources, which are wasted imho because it is much easier to do it locally using Irfanview or any other such program.

The excellent Jupload plugin will do the job for you. It resizes them for you before uploading and placing them in your gallery.
