Coppermine installation page Unable to write config file include/config.inc.php

Hello,
I set up MySQL database on my web page on the Go Daddy Host.
I was able to get to:
Welcome to Coppermine installation
After filling out the form I pressed the Let's Go button and I encountered the following:
Could not create a mySQL connection,please check the SQL values entered
MySQL error was: Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client
Unable to write config file 'include/config.inc.php

I called Go Daddy and they verified that I have write permission set for the include file. They were able to connect to my database using their software.

What could we advise except "re-check permissions, re-check mysql data"?

MySQL Host Polaris12.db.2974669.hostedresource.com (assigned by my Host provider Go Daddy)
MySQL Database Name Polaris12
MySQL Username Polaris12
MySQL Password
MySQL table prefix cpg14x
ImageMagick   (field left empty)

Looking at my File Manager I have:
root          web visible  web writable
cpg1.4.21 web visible  web writable
   cpg14x   web visible  web writable
     albums web visible  web writable
     include web visible  web writable 
     logs     web visible  web writable
     Plugins web visible  web writable

Why can my Host Go Daddy connect to my database but when using Coppermine I get "Could not creat a mySQL connection, Please check the SQL values entered"

What does " MySQL error was: Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server;consider upgrading MySQL client " mean? I am using MySQL 4.1

What is Coppermine looking for when it issues the error "Unable to write config file 'include/config.inc.php" ?

Can anyone else help with this problem?
My Host provider Go Daddy says it is a script problem with Coppermine.

I doubt it is a problem with cpg, there are other people on this forum using GoDaddy as a hoster for their cpg installations. What exactly is GoDaddy saying about cpg then? If they point a finger to us then they might as wel be so kind to point in the right direction.

I did not say that I don't want to help you, but that I can't help you. Note the difference. DO as I suggested: ask GoDaddy
