My other thread was marked as solved when it wasn't so I'm posting a new one with a slightly similar problem.
Anyway look at this in IE7: http://lucyandreneehq.celebfans.net/gallery/
The categories are centered and messed up in some way. If you look in FF it looks perfectly fine. Any ideas?

Zip your custom theme folder and attach it to your next post.
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

phill104

As an aside, your header image is a very large filesize at 433k. I have attached a 29k version should you wish to use it. You'll have to adjust your theme code from header.png to header.jpg but it will speed up the loading of your page.

Emsan

Hm not sure if I wanna lower the quality of it. Anyway, what did you do to fix the center problem?

It was you who tagged it as "solved", because nobody else can.

I already told you about the "one issue per thread" policy, although you should already have been aware of it, as it's part of the board rules to which you agreed to respect when signing up.

Posting a link to a php file doesn't help - we can not see the source code of a PHP file, but only the output generated, which in this case is nothing. That's why Phill said

You failed to do that. Subsequently, we canÄt help you. Do as supporters suggest. Stop wasting our time by not doing what you're suppossed to do.

Seriously, do you hate noobs or what?
I'm sorry that I don't get everything and I'm sorry that I didn't understood that I was going to decrease the filesize of the header to be fitted in a zip. Not everyone are as smart as you.

Here it is, zipped: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BZYHTLTA
Too large to attach and now you will probably nag that you hate megaupload but you can at least try to help.

And on that "two problems in same thread". I thought that, that new problem was associated with the new one, but probably not.

I'm so sorry for being stupid, which it seems like I am.
It's pretty cool that a stupid person like me can html and css codes :P

I meant the new problem was associated with the old one.

Oh and by the way, you should enable the users to edit their own posts.

Emsan

One more thing, what's the solve button?
I clicked on various things when I tried to find the button for editing your post before. So I did it by mistake.

No, that is wrong. But I don't like people who clearly show that they haven't even bothered to read up the board rules.

Nobody asked for a rar archive, and yes: that site just sucks - you could instead just have uploaded the zip archive to your own webspace and posted a link to that archive instead of forcing supporters to fill out a captcha and then wait for the download to finally get an archive in an obscure rar format that is not standard instead of the pesudo-standard zip that I had requested. Yes, that site sucks. Yes, rar archives suck - I downloaded the archive, but I couldn't open it, although my archiver/unarchiver usually supports rar.

Oh yes? Really? Looking at the output generated by your custom theme I can see various design mistakes (like empty div container without class or id assigned to them). I can see that your custom theme doesn't validate, so if I were you I wouldn't be boasting about your HTML and CSS skills. If you're so skilled, then why are you looking for support?

Definitely not. We have deliberately disabled that feature to stop morons editing out their postings, making replies look silly. You are not in the position to lecture us about the features of our support forum, nor does that belong to this already cluttered thread.

Well, it's being explained in the board rules thread as well, so we're going in a circle: you failed to read board rules, that's why you act up.

Stop speed-posting, this is no chat.

Stop behaving like a moron - it's not a bright idea to do so when asking for free support. We don't owe you anything at all, but you owe us. You better treat us with respect or you go away and shut up. If you don't behave, you'll get banned.

Emsan

I have read the rules.
And sorry for all this. I just wanted help.
Gosh I thought I was going to get it here.
Man don't know what to do now.

Emsan

I wanted to add that the gallery passed validation now. I had forgot to do it, which I usually do when I make websites.
This seem to be a bug that Coppermine has got with IE. I know that IE and FF reads tables different and that's probably why it behaves like it does in IE. I can't find anything wrong in the code with the validator or anything and that's why I wanted your help.
Maybe I need to include a script in the header to make it work properly in IE, like I have done with PNG images.

I thought that everyone had winrar or something that could open .rar installed on their computers but I was wrong.
I didn't have winzip on my computer but I downloaded it. The zipped file is attached.

Sorry but I had to make this clear, and double-posting had to occur.

phill104

There is no bug in Coppermine but numerous bugs in your custom theme. Take a careful look at the way you are trying to use the depreceated <centre> tag  and opening from within a table but closing it outside for instance shows that you need to work on your coding skills.

Shouting bug puts supporters off helping you.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

Emsan

Okay I just fixed it and apparently it works fine with my other bugs.
I just added align="left". Didn't do much about the other bugs you where talking about and it's still valid and now it works too  ;D
This was just a dummy problem that was very easy to fix. You probably knew it too.

Well thanks for trying at least. I hope that I wont get much more problems, because if I do, I will be very afraid to ask about it.
I appreciate that you tried to help me at least.

phill104

I hope you edited the line.

<table width="800px" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0"

You should not use a "px" in the width there.
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

Emsan

I didn't. I have tried to set it to 100% but then because my div around it is 840px wide, the tables end up being that too. So I don't know anymore way to change it. Should I change it to 100% and then change in the settings instead?

Emsan

Now I changed it to 100%
but then I had to make a div around the table that had the width 800px. It's probably not the best solution but I don't know any better, do you?

phill104

You only had to get rid of the "px" as you should not use that in a width in a table. It should be width="800" and not width="800px"

Anyway, we are not here to teach html. There are some very good guides and sites available.

Locking thread.
