I have a question about the plugin ''Smart_catlist'' http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,60118.html

I installed it and activated it by the plugin manager. You are supposed to get extra options in your category list, but nothing has changed for me.

Does anyone knows how to make it function?

While you were at it, you could have read the other board rules as well (like the one that says you're not supposed to hotlink screenshots but attach them instead). They are called "rules" because it's mandatory to follow them if you want support.
Looking at the second screenshot (I have re-attached it to my posting) shows that you're looking in the wrong spot: you need to click the "edit" icon next to a particular category and then look at the very top of the screen (where you edit the category you just chose to edit): there is an additional dropdown labelled "The category is visible for guests". I'd play with that if I were you.

When I go there, I wouldn't get any extra options to change it.

I have no idea what's wrong. I suggest uninstalling the plugin, removing it from the plugins folder, getting a fresh copy of it and trying over with it. I don't trust that plugin at all, and I'm not very fond to dig into it in detail. I don't like what it does in the first place. Permissions don't go by categories in Coppermine. There have been requests to see this changed in the past, but so far nobody has succeeded. I doubt that this plugin has succeeded - having a rough look at the code I don't think it possibly could.

Okay, thanks for your help anyway, much appreciated.
