I am trying to add a redirect to my gallery so that it will redirect like this: example.com/gallery/index.php to example.com/gallery/ however I have had no luck and I am not sure why its not working. This is what I am using:
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} ^[A-Z]{3,9}\ /gallery/index\.php\ HTTP/
RewriteRule ^gallery/index\.php$ http://www.example.com/gallery/ [R=301,L]

Does anyone know how to get this working?

Not a valid coppermine question, nor posted in a valid way (board rules!). Marking accordingly.

I was just trying to find out if there was something in coppermine that is interfering with this redirect. I have used it before on other sites and know that it works. Can you just answer that?

Also it is relevant to coppermine as I am just trying to make an improvement to the SEF_URLs plugin by removing duplicate content.

Let me repeat what I said:

The link isn't there because I like the word "board rules" in blue better than in black. It's there to be clicked by you, which will lead you directly to the board rule that you haven't respected, but need to respect if you want an answer.
