Hello everybody!

I tried to install Coppermine using this FAQ: http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/275/coppermine-on-iis/
but after pressing "Let's Go !", I got only a blank page with the Coppermine's logo.gif :(
and I still get this: "Coppermine Photo Gallery seems not to be installed correctly..."
I searched a lot but couldn't find anything. I don't know how to enable error logging and where it saves the errors to help you :(
Please help me :'(

Use the instructions here -> http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#what
Use the package supplied here -> http://sourceforge.net/projects/coppermine/files/
Please post a link to your gallery as well.

We can not support you on webserver setup questions. Coppermine runs just fine on any webserver that is properly set up (i.e. that fullfills the minimum requirements). If it doesn't work for you, e.g. if a graphic resource isn't showing up as expected, your webserver setup needs reviewing. The instructions on http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/275/coppermine-on-iis/ are very poor imo, as they don't look into the important chapter "permissions on file system level", that's why you should ignore such a badly written excuse for reading the actual documentation. If you're buying a Porsche, will you read the owner's manual of a Ferrari? Obviously not. Then why bother reading such crap as the documentation you refered to.

That's not a server OS. I strongly suggest to review your idea to self-host.

So coppermine isn't for newbies. It looks so complex :(

Coppermine is not the problem. Many with little or no web experience use it. The problem is that you appear to beattempting to run a website from home on a windows 7 box correct?

While we do not recommend it, it is possible but you need to know how to setup your system correctly and that is not a coppermine issue but a server issue.
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

But I found no useful thing. IIS.net couldn't help me too.
It seems you don't want to help me and you're right.
Hope to find another way to create a simple photo gallery.
I've no more question. Thanks for helping me :)

Here's the result i got on IIS 7.5 :

Oh, there's no way to edit post.

It is not that we don't want to help you, it is just that we cannot. None of us have the setup you have afaik. Even if we did, we don't know how you have configured it and probably could not find out unless we were there with you. There are just so many thing it could be and that is one reason we cannot recommend self hosting.
