Hi,
I think I need a little help...

I unistall the old gallery and I start to install new one. I installed it, but in my www i found only this:

Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to database !

MySQL said: Access denied for user 'didi'@'w05.int.webd' to database 'didi_didigall'

I'm really hopeless in it, please, help, what should I do now ?

Please post a link to your gallery as requested in board rules.

The error is quite self explanatory. Check your include/config.inc.php file and make sure all the database details are correct. If you are unsure verify them with your host.
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

superdidi

Yeah, I checked it, ind it wasn't..

I had different name od database. I change it on correct one I think, and now I have:

Notice: Undefined index: debug_mode in /home/didi/public_html/include/functions.inc.php on line 96
Fatal error :
There was an error while processing a database query

Are you upgrading an existing gallery? If not did you clear the database before installing the new gallery? If this is a fresh install then I suggest you start over. If not restore from a backup and then follow the upgrade instructions.

The update.php is accessible without a password. Are you sure that you have uploaded all files for Coppermine v.1.5.4 ?

superdidi

No, I don't upgrade it, because I thought that if I do it anew, it'll be easier. So I remove my old gallery in cpanel, and I cleared the database "didigall". I made new one "didi". I had this acces denied, so I thought that I did something wrong and I called this new one "didigall", and I have new report.

As You can see, I don't know what to do, maybe I should clear everything once again and install  the gallery again?

The problem is I dont know how exactly remove database and do the rest actions correctly.....

The error doesn't make sense since there is only a comment at line 96 in functions.inc.php.

Make certain that you have uploaded all of the cpg 1.5.4 files. Use a good ftp app like Filezilla, set it to transfer in Bimary mode. If you have cPanel then you probably have phpMyAdmin - use that too.

If you have indeed "wiped out" everything, then why not just make a new database?

Read the docs, take your time and you will do just fine.

superdidi

OK, I do it, thanks you guys for your help !

It's not possible that you get this error message if you have uninstalled (deleted) your old gallery.

Make certain that you have uploaded all of the cpg 1.5.4 files
Please use the most recent release: cpg1.5.6.
