I create a new theme from rainy_day. The site is http://mileendmission.org/coppermine/
Version 1.4.19

I was able to change some colors in style.css..but following not able to.
-Like to change the color of text 'Mile-End Mission photo album'.
-would like to change the photo description color (currently black).
-Need help on how to add code so when mouse over the photos in filmstrip, the border change color. Same with the photo above filmstrip. In style.css, when I put in img a { ....  } and img a:hover { ...}  it seem to work but also affect other images such as rating, slideshow button....
-Would like to add a button next to 'Home' that point to a website address. How?

Thanks!

<!--Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.4.19 (stable)-->

The first thing you'll want to do is update your gallery to the latest version (currently 1.4.27). You are 8 versions behind and very vulnerable to intrusion. It would be a pity to put so much work into a new custom theme just to have it lost, right?

Regarding theme modification, take a look at your docs:

http://mileendmission.org/coppermine/docs/#creating
http://mileendmission.org/coppermine/docs/#theme_create

Begin there and see how far you can get yourself.

Also, consider the Web Developer Extension for help in determining and editing CSS stylesheets, form data, images and more.

Finally, take into account our strict "one issue per thread" policy that you agreed to respect when you signed up. Thanks.

Thank you for the answer. I have upgrade to 1.4.27. After I ran the update the screen show me all the update messages but the words are in white with sorta white-greyish background..so I could not read those updates message except highlight with my mouse over..Is that normal?

When I run this command
http://www.mileendmission.org/coppermine/versioncheck.php
I get "You don't have permission to access this page." even if I log in as administrator for Coppermine photo gallery.

After the update to 1.4.27 my gallery ran much slower...Even I only have few photos in each album.

Looks exactly as advertized to me (see screenshot). Not sure what your issue is.

Then your login doesn't stick. Make sure it sticks. Anyway, this is in no way related to the issues you asked for in your initial posting, and I already have reminded you about our strict "one issue per thread" policy. Respect it from now on. I will ignore all postings from you that show that you are not paying attention to board rules.

Sounds quite hard to believe. Impossible in fact. However, this is not related to the initial questions in this thread. If you really think that this is the case, start a new thread for that issue.

I have seen that before. Quite a few times actually. Here is this issue reproduced below. The greyed-out screen capture is the update script output via default theme. The readable text uses update.php?theme=classic. Should the update script be theme independent?

Joachim Müller

Not sure what you mean. The update script (e.g. http://www.mileendmission.org/coppermine/update.php) contains reference to only one style sheet file: http://www.mileendmission.org/coppermine/installer.css - that file should remain unmodified no matter what, so yes: the updater should be theme-independant. Anyway, this is (if at all) a cosmetical issue. There will be only security-related fixes in cpg1.4.x, as support for that version is running out. However: I tried to point out already that this thread has got a fair amount of thread drift already. I'd appreciate further discussion about issues that the thread starter hasn't refered to in his initial posting to be lead in a different thread.

Fair enough.

Have a look at Changing font size and color for Gallery Name Description where this particular subject has been covered recently. You can add an already used class attribute or create your own custom class (or both).

For all other questions, please start a new topic in the appropriate forum.

DEFAULT_THEME.jpg is exactly what I got.

Thank you for all your help..I will stop here.
