[Edit] After reading your second posting I can see that you have done there as you should. However, you're not supposed to double-post. I have merged your threads. [/Edit]

That's not true. You're using cpg1.5.6, not cpg1.5.0

You have set the cookie path in your forum to be /forum/. Subsequently, Coppermine won't be able to read that cookie. Review your forum's cookie settings - set the cookie path to /

Please write in plain English if you can.

how can change the cookie path and which cookie path should i change is it for coppermine or mybb

Joachim Müller

I already told you that you need to change your forum's cookie path. I have no idea how that is done in detail, as I don't know your forum software - it's a third-party product to me. Refer to your forum's documentation or ask on the support board for your forum app if you have no idea how to accomplish this. Coppermine needs to be able to read the cookie that is being set by your forum. If that cookie is only readable for applications that reside in the folder /forum/ (seen from the web root), then coppermine won't be able to read that cookie, as it doesn't reside within that folder. You need to change this, i.e. your forum's cookie path needs to be set to "/" (witout the quotes), i.e. just to the web root. If this will be the case, both coppermine as well as your forum will be able to read the cookie, which is what we're trying to achieve here.

Sorry if I intrude in the discussion, but I set the cookie path to /forum/ and it work without problem...

The problem I think it's the relative path to the config file, which should be "../forum/inc/".

coppermine url; http://www.weddingz.tv/gallery

I don't think that this will work...

You're of course right, the relative path is wrong as well in mbalire's bridge manager setup.

This is the last time that I'm merging your extra postings with the existing one. Posting an admin account is extra silly and uncalled for and will lead to you getting hacked in not time. My patience is at end with you, that's why I'm no longer cleaning up behind you. You are constantly ignoring my advice, board rules and common sense. Your next misbehaviour will result in a ban.

fabo92

Ops, I'm sorry: in my case it works because the gallery is in the forum folder, I think.

Joachim Müller

...which is a silly setup and not recommended. It doesn't help the thread starter if you have a different setup than he has got. I understand that you're trying to help, but this discussion doesn't get us very far. Just as a clarification to others: do not move your gallery into the forum folder - that's a bad idea and a needless way to make things more complicated than they actually are.  I think the explanation I have posted above about the need to edit the forum application's settings (usually using a user interface built into that app) to get the cookie path right should be enough. Let's end the talk about your forum and return back to mbalire's issues.
