How to prevent users from directly accessing/seeing http://mywebsite.com/gallery/albums/userpics/1001 thru the url address on the browsers url box.

You can turn off directory list browsing if your host allows such configuration via your control panel (not supported here) or add the handler within your base .htaccess file (again, not supported here). Or you can simply place an index.html file (with or without a redirect) inside any folder that doesn't otherwise contain any variety of "index." and you're done.

Best option? Copy the gallery/albums/index.php file to any userpics folder you wish.

Any further support will require you to furnish your gallery link, as per board rules.

Hope this helps.
