Hiding sub Categories on my photo board

Can someone help me?

I am very new at this and dont know alot about codes and such.  Trying to make it so the sub categories are not on the main page of my gallery.

We dont want the 08, 09, 10 catigories showing or the other sub catigories.

Is there a button I am not locating?

Please choose the correct area of the forum carefully. You have posted in the 1.4.x area but are using .5.x. This is also a configuration question and not a theme question. Moving accordingly.

Thanks for the help.  I dont really understand what they are saying on that page.  Is it a setting somewhere i just click and they go away... or is it a code thing?

Yes. As you can see on the page Phill referred to: Configuration → Album list view → Number of levels of categories to display
