Good afternoon.

I am having problems changing the theme on may gallery (http://www.railways-in-miniature.co.uk/gallery/index.php). I have gone into the admin tools and under themes in config have changed the theme. However, no matter which theme I select, It doesn't seem to change. I have an old theme (GrimmDF) which I modified and like the look of. However I cannot get that to work either.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to why the theme refuses to change (even to the ones which come with 1.5.6)? and secondly, how easy or difficult is it to port a theme from 1.4.22 to 1.5.6?

Thankyou in advance.

Jeff Bailey

Its set at eyeball and I can change it to curve.

Try  a refresh => Ctrl+F5 on PC

We have a one question per thread policy and we also prefer you to only post one thread at a time. Joachim has already answered how to upgrade your 1.4.x theme in your other thread (and he had to split it as you hijacked an unrelated thread)

Your themes are changing ok for me

Are you pressing "apply changes" after selecting the theme in the dropdown? What happens?

*edit - Jeff B beat me to it.
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

When i click apply, I get a message saying "Theme Changed Sucessfully" but I don't see any changes, even after refreshing the page several time, logging out, closing and opening IE.

Its interesting that you mention that it is set to Eyeball, as according to the settings it isn't?

If it would be helpful, I can post a screen shot of the settings, and how the page displays for me.

It is almost certainly the cache on your web browser that is causing you problems. Try a different browser such as firefox or do as Jeff suggested.

I see what you mean about the cache. I have just looked at it on another computer and it has changed.

Thankyou for all of your help.

It's not the cache. The user theme settings is stored in a cookie. So you have to delete the cookie or just add the parameter as Jeff suggested.

Cookie/Cache, different word, meant the same thing. I have stopped Coppermine storing a cookie in the admin settings, so it is working as I would expect.
