Hi

I having problem with Captcha Image showing as Red X in IE see Red-X in IE.jpg (and nothing in Firefox?).
I have try to test that GD2 is working by edit/ crop a few fotos, and the host server say it is installed (by php-info gives:
gd
GD Support    enabled
GD Version    2.0 or higher
FreeType Support    enabled
FreeType Linkage    with freetype
FreeType Version    2.3.5
T1Lib Support    enabled
GIF Read Support    enabled
GIF Create Support    enabled
JPG Support    enabled
PNG Support    enabled
WBMP Support    enabled
).
I understood that freetype also should be OK.

I get the same by http://hmj-foto.dk/captcha.php.

This is the case both for my web (installed cpg1.56, upgrade 1.58) and a playground-web with a new 1.58 install. This was also the problem when version 1.56 was installed at my web (therefore this posted in install forum and not update forum)

My web: http://hmj-foto.dk/index.php
( playground web: http://hmj-foto.dk/testcpg/index.php)

Test login (name/password) on my web:
Tester / Tester13.

The new cpg 1.58 had included the Captacha - in what way / still need GD2 I guess (and It is setup for this)?

Anyway of finding a solution?

Henning.

Clear your cache. I can see the captcha fine on your contact form page. I cannot login as your password doesn't work. I cannot test registration as you have it disabled. But for the contact form things look fine to me.
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

Thanks for your quick replay!

I am glad that you can see the captcha - although I have not been able on 3 PC on 2 IP address's ..

I have tried again after cleaning the IE cache - same result a red X for missing image??

Sorry that the login didn't work for you. But it still works for me as: Tester / Tester13  ?
But the site is open for comments on images and contacts also for guests.

The registration should be open now too.

How can this be so different if it is working for you and not for me? Is it okay for others too?

One of your links accepts registration, the other doesn't. Both have working captcha, not a lot more I can say.

Captcha showed just fine for me with Opera and IE8 ("normal" and "compatible"). There is nothing wrong with your Copperminie.

Could mean nothing if the ip addresses are related or from the same ISP. I have myself experienced silly ISP related issues with cpg. Try a different ISP, use a good browser, make sure that you don't have your local "protection" (anti-virus, etc.) blocking your site.

(this thread should be closed soon, no cpg issue)

Thanks for letting me know that captcha is working at both of you. So the installation of CPG and Web server is as it should be.

But it still lieve me and my visitors with the problem that it does not show at them. I must try to find a way to live with this, but thanks now I know I can't improve the set-up/installation.

Btw. my PC's was on 2 ISPs with same result.

Thanks for nice support.  ;) Can be closed for me.
