Hello,

I just installed Coppermine and I created a few Albums.  After that I uploaded a couple of pictures to test this.  After I uploaded the pictures I went to "Files/Batch" add files and navigated to the folder where the pictures were located.  I then selected the pics and selected "ok".  After that it brought me tothe screen where it listed the files and a thumbnail (which did not generate, it just had an X for it).  I checked the box for the pics, chose the album and clicked "Insert selected files".  It then brought me to a page that said "Information Album is empty.  So, it looks like it is not allowing me to add pictures to albums once the pics are uploaded.

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

PS - I was also wondering if you could create a sub-Album under an album?  Example, have an album called States and then when you go into that album you have folders with the different state names ?

Wouldn't that be the same as creating a category "States" and placing albums in that category?

Sorry about forgetting to post a link

I also went to the other link you provided and performed all of those steps.

When I followed the last step I logged into the test accound and tried to upload a picture.  With that method it just gives me a white screen after I click submit.

I also uploaded one screen shots of the screens I get when I try to upload as Admin.

pic1 - screen I see after selecting file/batch and file and choose my pics
pic2 - screen I see after clicking "Insert selected files"

Jeff,

I edited the appoval setting to no, I must have missed that.  I see your photo did upload fine however it does not work for me.  What browser are you using?  I am using Internet Exploror 8, could that have anything to do with it?

Uploads work fine for me using IE8.

I should probably have selected a more appropriate image as that one of poor Ralph being abused while drunk was probably not the best choice.
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

Hello,

I created a temp admin account so that you could do the exact step that I am doing so that you could see first hand what it is doing.

Log-in with the following

Username: admintest
Password: admintest

Then, go to "Files/Batch add files"
Select the "Uploaded" folder and click on "Ok"
Notice on this page how there is just an X where the thumbnail should be.
Now, select the album "Preperation" and put a check mark beside the two pics that are there (DSC01571.JPG and DSC01572.JPG)
Now, click on "insert selected files"

After that, should should come to the page I am getting where it says album is empty and File: - Line:

Does this help?

Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on this?

Use GD Version 2.x or GD version 1.x but not ImageMagick. It's worked for me :)
