Hi,

I have installed Coppermine and was about to launch it on my site when one of my team of 'testers' (I released the URL to the admin team) told me they cannot see the gallery in IE.

I don't actually use IE myself, but I checked on Browsershots and it does look like my gallery is not displaying with that browser (though it works with Firefox).

  • My gallery is available here - www.onevalefan.co.uk/pictures
    I am using the theme - water_drop
I have followed the install guide (as far as I am aware although with three kids, one a newborn I may plead that I could have made mistakes due to tiredness)
I have checked on the FAQ and searched the forum but I cannot find a similar problem.

I am presuming it is either something I have done (permissions-wise) or there is something wrong with the way my server is set up.

I would be grateful for any help - thanks for your time.

It is blank with Opera. As a webmaster you will need more than just what an audit shows....get the browsers that people use, try them yourself.

You presume correctly, the page lit up my FF error console to start with.
Redo your theme. Read your document package.
and
Validate your site here: W3C Validator

Thanks for the useful, albeit curt advice.

You've fixed it then? It is always good to know how a site was fixed as it may help other having similar problems. Looks like you have made some edits to your header as your site looks fine for me in IE8 now.

We request that you mark threads as solved yourself by clicking the little tick mark in your post. It's not that we are too lazy to do it, we just haven't the time to go through all the threads. Please bear this in mind for next time.
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.
