I am happy that Coppermine Gallery has pretty much worked out of the box

However, this issue appears on upload.php

I am only using the water_drop theme, so don't know if this issue affects the other themes, but I would expect it does
Selecting the Multiple Files method, as default
Along the bottom is a status of the uploaded files, which starts at 0
About six photos (thumbnails) fit into the width of the page
However, once this increases beyond this rather than create a new row the width continues to increase
With a large number of uploads this pushes the page off to the right

Is there any method to either limit the number of thumbnails shown (scroll), to put them into new rows to match the width of the page, or some other method to control this?
I did try setting a page width (width of the main table) of 1024 in the Album list view admin page, but this was rejected

Ultimately I may remove the code that displays the thumbnails, thus just the text would appear

Any and all assistance welcome

Please try if it works with another browser (IE9, Firefox, etc.). I always use Firefox and never recognized what you described.

All testing is performed in Windows Internet Explorer, as that is what the majority of visitors use
As a result I do not use any other browser

Please try if it works with another browser
Alternatively post a link to your gallery and a test user (non-admin) account with upload privileges.

Just tested with IE8 and water_drop theme on my local testbed: works as expected.

Please feel free to try this :

user = test
password = testtest

Go to Upload file, select Album = test 01

Now upload more than 8 files
Watch the thumbnails below "0 files uploaded"
As the thumbnails are uploaded it eventually scrolls outside of the table (viewed in either 1024 x 768 or 1280 x 800)

As you failed to post a link to your gallery, I had to search it in one of your other threads and found that one: http://www.rail-britain.co.uk/gallery/

I just uploaded a few pictures on that gallery and it works as expected in IE8 (see attached screen-shot).

Many thanks for testing
Here is what I end up with, and as you can see it just ends up as one continuous row
Any and all advice welcome

Obviously your browser isn't working as expected. We cannot support client-side (browser) issues, so I cannot help you any further, sorry.

I have traced the issue by comparing two identical systems
With Compatability View switched ON this issue exists

One thing I have noticed is that the drop-down menu, just to the right of Album in upload.php jumps to the right as each file is uploaded
Please advise how to prevent/stop this occuring

Please have a look at our board rules. Your drop-down menu issue is another issue. It seems that this is also a client-side issue, as it doesn't happen for me in IE8 (regardless if compatibility view is enabled or not), so I suggest to not start a new support request for that issue.
