I have read the help on Group permissions. I have set the personal gallery allowed and approval to no for registered users. When I create a registered user  and login using that user I can still create personal galleries and upload images.
I want registered users to upload images and files, but only into galleries I create.
Registered Public albums upload allowed and approval are both set to yes. Quota is set to 50000KB

What am I doin wrong?

Works as expected in my test gallery. Please post a link to your gallery and a (non-admin) test user account. Additionally, attach a screenshot of your group permissions and a screenshot of the test user's profile.

I cannot create albums in the personal category, but just in the public categories with your test account. Do you want to disallow your users to create albums in that public categories?

Yes please. I want to only allow registered users to upload to existing albums.

Then you have to set the permissions of your categories in the category manager accordingly.

That's it, well done.
Thank you André. One problem solved.

There's still the problem of (flash_media_player): v1.8 not working ( http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,62704.msg348458.html#msg348458 ). If you could follow up on that I would really appreciate it.

Thanks again for the great support.
