I just installed phpBB 3.0.8 ( http://littleblueumbrella.com/forum/ )
I also just installed Coppermine Photo Gallery v1.5.12 ( http://littleblueumbrella.com/gallery/ )

I still have the same problem here that still needs to be addressed.
http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,72132.0.html

However, as I attempt to test out registered users in the gallery I find more issues that were not there before I bridged.

1 - I cannot use the Flash-driven upload unless I am logged in as the original admin.  Even if I use my personal user account of 'aimee' which is an admin account, it will tell me that I can upload but when I do, I will get an error that I cannot read because it is too long:
(https://coppermine-gallery.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi75.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fi304%2Fgirlboheme%2Fscrapbooking%2Fth_aimee-uploaderror.jpg&hash=17dc8182022bf39c1b467ac5cf22936fd5325863)

But I can still upload single files.

2 - Registered users cannot upload files when I give them permissions to upload to public albums.  This account is a typical registered user.
login: test
pass: testing

I want to upload to the album **Aimee Harrison in the Design Team Gallery category.  Permissions for this album are set as public.  Registered Users Group's permissions are a YES on upload to public albums.  It doesn't recognize this

I also made sure that my test account was NOT in the group NEWLY REGISTERED just to be safe.  Even though I even have that group as having the same permissions as a typical REGISTERED USER.

Each time a new group is added to the forum, I go and redo the bridge and redo the group settings.

I'd really appreciate any help you have regarding this issue.

Thank you!
Aimee

Please respect our board rules (e.g. only one question per thread, attach images instead of hotlinking them).

1.) That happens if there's unexpected output in your PHP files. Please try to replace all Coppermine files.

2.) Afaik the least permission applies if a user is in more than one group. Please check the settings for all groups the test user (or any other user that should be able to upload) belongs to.

girlboheme

Thank you.  Sorry about asking two questions.  Will upload as attachments in the future.

The test user didn't share any other groups.  But to be safe, I just went through and made sure that all users used only one group.  But it still isn't working.

Will uninstall my gallery, reinstall, then rebridge and see if it works.

girlboheme

I just completely deleted the entire database, reinstalled and rebridged, fixed all group permissions to be able to add photos to public albums.  I am getting the same exact 2 errors.

I still cannot upload using aimee and I assumed that the reinstall fixed all the unexpected output in my php files.

None of my users are sharing groups but the registered users still cannot upload files.

Αndré

Try to enable the personal gallery for regular users.

girlboheme

I did, it still doesn't work.  But now it lets registered users create albums in their personal albums.  Just not in the albums I made for them to post in.

Αndré

What works:

  • I just created a personal album with the test user and successfully uploaded 4 images with the flash uploader.

girlboheme

Yes.  But I don't want that to work.  I want them to be able to upload to **Aimee Harrison  I have all the permissions set correctly for uploading as a registered user to the public album but doesn't recognize it.

Αndré

Maybe someone has some time to create the same environment as you and can make some tests and finds a solution. I currently don't know if it's a general issue or just an issue with your bridging / board setup.

girlboheme

I think I fixed the problem for number 2.  Visitors cannot upload to album was checked.  I thought visitors meant guests.  Not logged in members.  It seems to work now.
