I want to create a new page, to display the same data as 'catlist' without displaying this on the homepage.

My homepage is getting quite large, in load time, displaying recent comments & recent images. I just want to create another page that displays the catagory alubums and the same data as catlist.

How can I display this information?

Thanks in advance.

Joachim Müller

remove last comments and last uploads from the original coppermine page and put a "custom page" in front of the "real" coppermine page that only displays last comments and last uploads, using the rss feed mod or the ssi.mod (your choice).

then how do i get the catlist type viewing onto another page?

Joachim Müller

Yes i did, but it didnt seem to apply.

On the homepage, i want to take out catlist, and on my anycontent just put a link to this page (catlist).

Joachim Müller

OK, this is not that easy. I don't really see any sense in this request, so I guess you will have to code this by yourself.

well the point is to not have my homepage showing the 'catlist' item.

i would however like the 'album list' to display this information, which it does not.

If you remove catlist from the homepage, then the 'album list' button is essentially nothing more than home, and there is NO WAY to list all the categories, or albums which the Coppermine contains.

Do you see where Im going with this?????

There is no way, other than placing catlist on the homepage, to display that information....... which is obviously an important piece to coopermine....

I look forward to your response.

Joachim Müller

yes, catlist and alblist are integral parts of coppermine and should never be removed from "the content of the main page".
