Cant login with admin account - tried everything in search

Hey there, today i went to login as usual(admin) with my saved password but its told me "Login failed. Try again".

The last successful login was about 14 hours ago. I have the gallery set to offline because i have not finished it yet.

The password should still be the same, i haven't changed it or updated the "save password" in firefox.

I have searched around here for a few different methods and none of them have worked for me.

Things i have tried:
- Tried every password i could think of and banned myself a couple of times. (Clearing my ban in Phpmyadmin)
- Forgot password (Never received email - i get the message that my gallery is offline.)
- Changed my password with Phpmyadmin using Md5.
- Cleared my cache.

Is there anything else i can try?... I dont know why it suddenly wont let me in. All i did was close my laptop last night.

Any help would be really appreciated! Thankyou

You can disable offline mode in the MySQL database. Have a look at the table "config", search for the row "offline" and set it to "0".

Changed my password with Phpmyadmin using Md5.

Is Sami's second suggestion only if we cant edit the tables in phpmyadmin? Or should i be trying this anyway?

- No worries, i found it and my gallery is online now.

I requested a new password, followed the instructions and still nothing.. same error

Please post a link to your gallery. As it seems that you know your way around with phpMyAdmin, please also create a new user (no admin user) and post the login details, so we can test ourselves.

Added a new user (i think) couldn't find a tutorial anywhere. I went to table cpg15x_users > insert > filled in details. Its asked me to "Run SQL query/queries on database" - I repaired DB under MySQL Databases.. is that correct?

- This test also didn't work for me but i could have made a mistake creating a user.

As you require the email address for login, I added an email address for the test user and replaced the plain text password by the MD5 hash.

I was able to login via test@test.com / test.

Oh, i thought i may have done something wrong there.. oops. I could also login with the test user.

What does this mean for my admin login? I am still unable to login.

You set your gallery to login via email address, not user name. So you have to enter your admin's email address instead of the user name. You can change that behavior in the config after you logged in as admin successfully. Alternatively it's also possible directly in the MySQL database.

My goodness, i feel so silly now! I dont remember changing it, seems odd. Working fine now with email.. you saved me though, i probably wouldn't have realised for a while.
