Hi folks - confused.com here - I was under the impression that there should be a config section to change name of site, put a home page url in etc - can I find it... no! Am I being thick. It just aint there.

Where or where do I do to add a link to home page, where is the config section.

Ive searched and searched - got loads of answers, it should just be there.

Hope someone can help.

When signed in as admin, click on 'Config' in menu or visit admin.php

Expand the 'General Settings' to find the options you mentioned.
Thanks!

Hoi thanks for reply - there is no config link at all, and .../coppermine/admin.php is a 404.

Any ideas?

Found this: http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/admin_menu.htm

Says: When you are logged in as an administrator, the script provides two modes of operation: Admin controls visible & Admin controls disabled. You can switch between those modes by clicking on the corresponding link in the menu bar at the top of the screen.
When you have the controls turned on, you can administer your gallery using the menu bar that appears as shown below:

However, there is no option for this.

All I want to do is edit the config so that a home page link is available back to the main site.

The default logging in as admin is to see the admin controls.
It does allow you to switch to a 'user view' without logging out.

admin.php missing (404) is a problem.
Try running .../coppermine/versioncheck.php (with correct path to your coppermine of course)

If that too is missing, I would re-upload your coppermine files.

What theme are you using?
A link to your gallery may help.
(Do NOT post admin credentials here)
Thanks!

ummm... Looking at your link... While the url contains 'coppermine' - it isn't a coppermine gallery.
It appears to be "Gallery" http://galleryproject.org/ - which just in the past week (6/20) announced they are retiring the project. (on their home page and http://galleryproject.org/time-to-hibernate

I have never used their software, so can't assist you in the setup.

Their forum appears to  still be active if you want to ask there.
Thanks!

Hi - bugger - it was installed from the webfusion server. Ummmmm. Right then, start again/

Please get your Coppermine distribution from our site. Other autoinstallers may not have the latest version of our software or may have modified it. We cannot support galleries installed from other sources.
If 'webfusion' indicated you were installing Coppermine, and instead installed 'Gallery' - that should be reported/corrected.
Thanks!
