Hi everyone,

It's my first post here. I learned there is a new version. I'm having troubles with my gallery site since 3 days, when I tried to upload 66 pictures by example, it stopped to 2 pictures uploaded and the rest of pictures are in error something. So it may be the old version, do I need to upgrade my old version cpg15x to cpg1.5.30?

I don't know how do. I'm not familiar with this. I downloaded the old version cpg15x last December in FileZilla and installed in my site, it was all ok.

How can I upgrade the new version without loose my pictures? There are over 30 000 pictures.

Can you explain me how do? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your answer  :)

If I'm correct (I'm from France), I don't need to download cpg1.5.30, is it right? Or is it better to download the new version than keeping the old version?

If I download cpg1.5.30 in FileZilla, which file do I need to put cpg1.5.30 without loose all pictures?

You can change the doc links to French by changeing the en to fr :

Except for the "albums" directory, upload all of the new files and directories, making sure not to overwrite your anycontent.php file or the albums directory.

In fact, you could upload the albums folder as well - the one that is contained in the package is empty anyway. The recommendation not to upload this folder is only meant as a pre-caution for some users who have "funny" settings for their FTP apps: some exotic FTP applications delete folders existing on the server and then re-create an empty folder on the server-side. This would of course be a disaster for all existing galleries during the upgrade process, as you would lose all your uploaded files in your gallery. However, the number of FTP apps that is set up in that strange way is small and therefore, it won't hurt for most to upload the albums folder as well. If you're not sure, use one of the FTP clients recommended by the devs.
