Set "Plugin API enabled" to "No". Alternatively, you can also uninstall all plugins manually.

ok, I will re ask the question in a different way, how can I tell what is causing the db errors, I have 8 plug ins, turning them all off wont tell me which is the one (s) which is causing the errors

Turn off the plugin API to find out if a plugin causes the issue at all. If it does, you can re-enable the plugin engine and uninstall each plugin one by one to find out which one causes the issue. It will also help if you post the actual database error message (you need to enable debug mode in the config priorly).
