I had the same problem, and I tried youre solution. I did the sql-query "repair table cpg_pictures" but all i got is the same error mesage agein. he can't open th e file so he can't repair the file.'
I do noticed that it was the only table with the message "in use" what does that mean?

Any ideas on what to do next?
I have hardly any experience with this kind of stuf so I hope it doesn't become to technical for my

ask your webhost for support, this issue is not directly related to coppermine.

Check your user.  Mine had a name like O'Keefe.  Guess what threw the code???  Yup, someone didn't check names for apostrophes.  Renaming that user to Okeefe did the trick.  Interestingly, the user had no trouble regestering.  Can't promis you the same luck.

You only posted the generic error message, which does not tell you anything about the table being corrupted.  Without the actual error message you are guessing.  Did you actually see "Can't open file: 'cpg131_pictures.MYI'. (errno: 145)" displayed in the debug output?

There is no "bug in the programming."  If there were such a problem, I'm certain we would've been flooded with similar error messages.  To my knowledge, you are the first.  A google for "More than one INDEX key was created for column" turns up many similar issues, none related at all to Coppermine, which leads me to believe this was caused by some sort of MySQL server hiccup.  None of those similar issues had anything to do with a corrupted table error (145).

You need to post detailed information about your server setup, Coppermine version, etc.

I had the identical error above and went in and attempted to repair the table.  This fixed all of the errors but unfortunately also fixed the table such that none of the images are viewable in any of the albums.  The only thing I can think of doing now is to restore the pictures table from a backup version from a few days ago.

If you do get this error and attempt to repair you could encounter a similar fate. :'(

There's no guarantee that repair will succeed no matter what. If a table is broken beyond repair, the repair command can't fix things. Not related to coppermine.
