I may have just answerred the File Properties part.  In the config screen, there is the "Read EXIF data in JPEG files and Read IPTC data in JPEG files" - I set those to 'yes' and now see the some extra fields displayed in the displayimage.php.

Actually, most, if not all the file info is included in the search. 
Most definately the album name and description, the file title, description, and keywords.

Ok, I can stay off the drugs now (darn Rastas).  I set a seperate unique search key in every one of the fields and was able to search on each one of them.  Sorry for the confusion.
