Saving captions when I need to reload pictures?

Hi, before i fully had understood coppermine I had made my intermedia pics turn into normal full pics, etc

However, now I want to bring it back so I still have my full quality pics, unfortunatly i still have a gallery full of captions - is there anyway I can save captions and re-upload pics? WHen I reupload the normal ones again and try to rebuild them, it no longer works

What do you mean by 'normal'. There should be 3 sets of files, which are differentiated by their prefixes:
filename.jpg = original, fullsize
normal_filename.jpg = resized intermediate
thumb_filename.jpg = thumbnails.

Do you have 3 sets of files?

i know but i was an idiot and used the option to "delete original sized files" but now i want those files back, so i reuploaded them over the ones that replaced it... and now everything seems f****d... and i cant just rebuild the whole damn albums because it complains of duplicates...

i wouldnt mind redoing it but i dont want to lose all my captions: what you can see (me reuploading origiinals overrwriting the inter) is @ http://www.topdrunks.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=13

I've rebuilt my galleries and used the command posted @ http://coppermine-gallery.com/forum/index.php?topic=4601.0 to help me do that. just an fyi
