Is there a way to have a Pic of the Day?

I searched the forum for anything like this and there doesn't seem to be any posts regarding this - I am surprised actually!

It would take 1 or 2 random (or specific) picture from all the albums (or specific albums) and show it on the main page to any user who visits that page.

The size would be larger than a thumb, but smaller than the normal size image.

It would have its own section much like breadcrumb, categories, random, etc

Is there anyone who has done this?  I would love to have the code to be able to do this.

Thanks!

Thank you for your reply!

I will give some of those codes a try.

Thanks!

All three links provided GauGau are dead ends here. And can't find any links on the forum where to find my pic of the day clue :)

Can someone be so as to kindly point this sleepy user in the right direction ?

Thanks!

Casper

It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

Casper ;) Thanks for finding that but as with most gallery owners with lots of pics to maintain
you want a automated potd.

What i am searching for is not exactly a potd. It is more like a random image function like the row you
can switch on and off in the config page. But then instead of several random pics just one
random pic. And preferably in a div or table which can be placed anywhere on a page.

Or is it somehow possible to alter the random image function which already exist in cpg and make it
display only 1 pic at a time ?
