I have a database set up for running an smf forum. Can some one plese tell me how to set up the required table to run Coppermine? By this I mean, what is the code to use in a query in phpmyadmin? The auto set up thing doesn't work properly.

what error message do you get?

1064. Tried the same on our test server and got the same on both. Ain't got a clue how to set up the table that I need for the instalation. SMF installs it's own tables, so haven't done this before.

1064.
That's not a coppermine error. The coppermine installer does create the tables as well as the smf installer creates the smf tables. Imo you haven't got an original coppermine package. Please post a link, so I can take a look.

I downloaded the package from this site (via a mirror of course). It should be OK.

The link is HERE

site http://www.fun-times.org.uk/ is down for me, DNS resolution works, but ping times out. Are you by chance self-hosted? Anyway, I'm out of this thread.

Sorry bout that.

We have been haviong problems with the site. Scirpt Kiddies have been attacking SMF forums. Our last one got so bad we dumped it and started over. The Hosting comapny have been made aware of this, and are taking action.

You may eventually have this problem here.

I haven't seen anything reported over at simplemachines.org.  Have you brought this to the attention of the SMF developers yet?

Yes it has been mentioned in a couple of threads. It seems to be targeted at specific sites, rather than hitting all. We are now registered with checkupdown.com. They monitor the errors and report back to the us and our Hosts. The problem is being dealt with.

Hmm, I found some DoS attacks mentioned, but nothing specific about SMF.  Can you post a link to a topic that talks about SMF and script attacks?
