Thumbnails not displaying on batch upload page

I posted yesterday and the post disappeared overnight.  If its a dumb post, please someone let me know.

Whats happening is that when I do a batch upload and add the photos, the add screen shows no thumbnails at all, unless they are ones that are already in there.  If you ignore the missing thumbnails it will add them okay, but the results screen also does not show any OK images.  After that they appear in the gallery fine and if you batch add more, the thumbnails show up.

This is on 1.3.2 - fresh install, new database, etc...

Any help would be great - I've search the forums and have found similar, but nothing that helps!
