I'd like to have the capability to search photos by the camera model in the EXIF, so that visitors that are planning to buy, let say, Canon A400, can just put that string in the search form and all the photos taken by that camera will show up, and he will be able to decide whether to make the purchase.

thanks,
RF

Second this request, though a more general implementation of seaching the EXIF data.
I'd for instance like to search for a specific lens or aperture used.

the same system you can see at http://www.pbase.com

Users are their own galleries, but it detects with which numeric cam the photos have been taken.

I'll look at adding this feature, including searching IPTC data.

look at this:

This is superb! You can use it next to Coppermine.

in the template.html:

- add a link to the software on your own site.
- import the photos after you have put them on your server.

But how to make it an add-in for CPG??????

Haven't looked into it, but it can't go into the core code of coppermine, as it's not being released under GPL. If would have to be released as a mod/hack.

No, we would not put the request in the 'scheduled for 1.5' section if it was already a feature of 1.4.

oh sorry, you are right.
Will in 1.5 have a search option similar with that?

That's the plan, however 1.5 does not yet exist.
