Can't setup - install.php coming back - XP Home/apache

Hi,
Installation problem, already looked in the forum, but nothing helped.

The configuration page is coming back with no error message, all field empty. I've checked all parameters for database (working when called from PHP script), and leave the ImageMagick field empty.

I've changed the owner to "administrators" from the Safe mode of XP Home. And changed permissions to all privileges.
When I first came to install page, I had the 4 errors messages :
The 'include' directory (located in the directory where you uploaded Coppermine) should be writable in order to save your configuration. Use your FTP program to change its mode to 777.
So I chmod to 0777 all the files (using PHP script) and then I came to the configuration page.
Is there anything else to do ? is it due to XP Home ?

Make sure you enabled long arrays - search the board.

register_globals and register_long_arrays were both off, now on.

Got different result now, have an almost empty page with the logo only.

Coppermine doesn't support mysqli, do you have the older mysql stuff setup ?

Sorry, not familiar with sql... actually don't know the difference between mysql and mysqli...
I've install MySqlServer 4.1... not same as mysql ?
what should I do now ?

You need to either install a version of mysql older than 4.1 or tell php to use mysql extensions instead of mysqli.

I'm getting the exact same thing. Only when I did what he did I got the same problem... The endless loop. Here is what is in phpinfo() it's an intranet only computer so no one can get to it... Love how that works. I'm probably missing something stupid... Thanks all!
