Ok I have the newest coppermine and the newest vbulletin. My coppermine has content that I don't want to have to reupload and its in a seperate mysql database than vbulletin. How can I integrate these two so logins are the same and logging in to either the forums or gallery will automatically log u in to the other. Also as I said, I have content in coppermine so I don't want to lose that. Thanks

Nibbler

Content isn't the issue, it is users. If you have coppermine users then you would need to convert them into vb users, if you are the only user then you can bridge with no probs.

Joachim Müller

note: separate databases can be a problem, both your bbs and coppermine should reside on the same database if you want to enable bridging.

ok so if i reinstall vbulletin in the same database how can i bridge it. because the last step of the bridge instructions is to go to the install folder of coppermine. i have deleted thatt because im supposed to. and remember i have content i dont want to lose. Futbol4kee

What step of the instructions are you refering to? Where did you read that an "install folder" is suppossed to be deleted? Coppermine doesn't have an install folder, and you're not suppossed to delete anything.
You don't have to re-install, it'll be enough to just move the db tables from one db to the other. Details on the bridgiung can be found in the coppermine docs, "integration/bridging" section.

i read this in the download readme. it said to edit vbulliten30.php and init.(something).php.

futbol4kee

ok i found it.

"6. Point your browser to your Coppermine installation and verify integration is complete.

That should do it.  I tried it on a fresh install of both, and a custom install to an existing board.  Both worked fine.
"

Nibbler

That just means your coppermine directory.

futbol4kee

ok but in the vbulletin.php file it asks for the mysql database vbulletin is installed in. are u saying to first install vbulletin in the coppermine database?

Nibbler

Do whatever you like as long as they both end up in the same database together.

ok ive done everything properly and when i click login from coppermine it brings me to my vbulletin page. so i though maybe i have to log in the forums. i logged in and nothing happened in regards to integration with coppermine. everytime i hit login from coppermine it would bring me to vbulletin.

Nibbler

Review other threads about vb bridge problems, and if you still can't find a solution post a link and test user account.

that's expected behaviour when bridging. Link and test user account (non-admin) please.

We need a link to your gallery.

You need to create test accounts, no admin privileges, and post the username/password here.
