Works fine for me.  Have you tried clearing your cache?  Have you tried visiting your site from a different computer?
Do not send me a private message unless I ask for one.  Make your post public so everyone can benefit.

There are no stupid questions
But there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots

donnoman

No problem with either IE or FF here.

marcos

It was a bad attempt to make an "floating layer" ..
I don't know why (gonna try again) it now worked on template.php
So, i put the code in the end of index.php

In IE it don't show the thumbs....

For the records: firefox rulez

Hmm...I user put an entire gallery with the "º" symbol....
The pics open with no problem, but in IE it don't show the thumbnail..

Anyway to batch change filenames i missed ?

And...... problems with the abreviation I made?
CPG ?

Don't want to take the credits ...

Thanx from Brasil ! : )

You need to return the "Powered by Coppermine Photo Gallery" section back to the original configuration.

You can put things to the left, and to the right, you can colorize it to your hearts content, provided it is still clearly readable, but don't mess with the exact text including whitespace, and it still needs to be a hyperlink to: coppermine.sf.net.

Something you've done removed the hyperlinks or is preventing both FF and IE from following those links to thier supporting pages from your gallery.

marcos

No doubt about the rights you have...but.. everyone uses acronyms...

Imagine... Powered by Coppermine Photo Gallery|Personal Home Page|mySequencedQueryLanguage

It's looks really better CPG|PHP|mySQL

With the links of course .. : )

How can a visitor to your site possibly know what CPG was, and if they wanted to know more, they wouldn't be able to find out more without the hyperlink.

And people don't know Personal Home Page|mySequencedQueryLanguage as well as they know PHP|mySQL.   :P

Just for that, you get this (https://coppermine-gallery.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tu2.net%2Fforums%2Fimages%2Fsmiles%2Ficon_bonk.gif&hash=a7930fc5a4e4f81d655ed3af3d212d9602952ee7)

Nibbler

I don't think anyone thinks they are abbreviations for that Thu .....

marcos

Ok...going to put it back to original..

But I still think CPG is far away better than the full name...

in escpecial for foreign languages.... here , the people can barely pronunce "coppermine"

There's more than just licensing requirements, and I understand that you are still trying to comply with the spirit of the license. (And I respect that you actually ASKED if it was acceptable).

However if you change the wording of Powered by Coppermine, even by removing spaces, or introducing colons, we can't use those items for searches with engines like Google, et al.

At this point "Powered by Coppermine Photo Gallery" is fairly specific and will yield appropriate results. However if people are free to maim that license header, a search would be useless.

Results 1 - 10 of about 1,590,000 English pages for "Powered by Coppermine Photo Gallery".

Results 1 - 10 of about 37,200,000 English pages for "Powered By::|CPG".

Which results would you trust?

If you doubt the validity of my point actually look at the items returned by those searches.

All 1-10 of the first search are coppermine galleries.  With the exception of a pointer to a PHP-Nuke Coppermine Module (Still coppermine)

and all be gosh darned, look at that first link google caughs up:

Coppermine Photo Gallery
Coppermine Photo Gallery project - Coppermine is an easily set-up, fast,
feature-rich photo gallery script with mySQL database, user management, private ...
coppermine.sf.net/ - 37k - Dec 21, 2004 - Cached - Similar pages

Not a single hit on the first page of the second search is a coppermine gallery, of or having to do with coppermine photo gallery.

We appreciate that you will put it back and display it the way it was intended.

marcos

Hello,

I've place it back... but I still think ..
And your last post just mean that someone should have thinked about that before...  ;D

That CPG is really more friendly...
5/5 votes here....

Thanx for the code...

Hm.... Happy Xmas ! ! CPG 2005 !!  ::)

You could at least have spelled it right.  ::)

QuotePowered By::|Coopermine Photo Gallery

Even if Coppermine was spelled correctly, this wouldn't meet the license yardstick. (The href is wrong too btw)

What did I say about introducing characters and messing with the whitespace! ???

I need to get TransNdance's smiley with a hammer. I love that thing.

To me the way you have it looks dumber than by just doing what we asked.

Powered by Coppermine Photo Gallery

You can make it bigger, you can make it smaller, you can put things above, below, to the sides, you can colorize it, you can change its font.

But you can't modify the text or hyperlink from the first "P" to the last "y".
You can't make it go away.
You can't make it unreadable.
You can't send the hyperlink to anywhere but coppermine.sf.net or take it away.

Give the Coppermine Community that provided you with a great piece of software it's small claim to fame.... that little footer.

Looks like marcos needs to get the sense whipped into him. (https://coppermine-gallery.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tu2.net%2Fforums%2Fimages%2Fsmiles%2Ficon_whip-hang.gif&hash=6ec56af257a84623ff0d918f0a4f0b597354d486)

another reason for CPG ....
COPPERMINE is hard to remember...    ???  ;D ;D ;D

Already changed that ! !

Sorry officers, not going to happen again...

Just want to remeber that I asked for...

When I could take that thing off ...  :P

@marcos: It looks good, thanks.

urm, am I getting something wrong? On http://www.flyby.com.br/ I get the copyright notice in black on black background, i.e. obstructed! It must be visible to meet the license requirements. Case not closed imo.
