Ehm, sorry, erm... if this was answered before.. but you know, Im a n00b ..  ??? :)

So when I put all the my folders (i.e. folders home, car, nature etc.) in the following structure copp_dir/albums/something/ .. so the final result would be
copp_dir/albums/something/home
copp_dir/albums/something/car
copp_dir/albums/something/nature

how should coppermine automaticly create albums with those names, i mean if "something" is a category, how should I setup it that "home", "car" and "nature" be albums in that category?

You can see what currently happened, on http://www.darjan.net/galerija/index.php
All the pics went to "No category", without the subfolders... When you go to Izlasci category.. there should be only 2 pics, each representing its Album...

Now i noticed that i did something wrong.. i mean why aren't my pics in "izlasci" category.. i thought they are... how to move them...?

Thank you once again and please don't be mad at me :)

You are a little confused about how Copermine operates.  You create categories, which hold albums, which in turn hold your files.  This is all done when you are logged in as an admin.  Create a few categories, then create a few albums and put them in whatever category you want.  Coppermine does all this from the database; it doesn't care where the files are actually located on your server.

If you create directories like this: albums/something/home, you'll have to ftp the relevant files there, then batch add them to the appropriate album.

You can always "move" a picture to a different album - when logged in as an admin, you'll notice "edit pics" next to the album picture.  Click it and you can edit each picture, and change the album it should belong to.  The same holds true with your albums, except you click "properties" and change the category that way.

just to back up what kegobeer said: coppermine doesn't create albums by itself, just because a folder exists in the file system.

So you say, there's no way to upload many different folders with many different pictures into one folder (example folders "1", "2" ,"3"  upload into one folder called "car".. so the Coppermine by batch creates Category "car" with albums "1", "2" ,"3" ? If I upload those 3 folders into folder "car" which is in "albums" folder, then the batch add will add all those pictures to one Album without creating a new category and without creating a new Albums...

Look, the problem is because I have to upload around 50 folders each with at least 50-100 pictures, it would be the hard work if i have to make each album through web interface... if you know what I mean...

Thank you.........

No.  You have to use the album manager in Coppermine to create your albums, and use the category manager to create your categories.  You then batch add your pictures into the appropriate albums.
