problem with leaving cpg without logou !

problem :
sometimes I close the cpg without logout .
nexttime  I link to cpg , I find I am still on line .

what's problem and how to solve it !!!

Nibbler

Setup your browser to throw away all the cookies when you close it, or maybe adjust the cookie lifetime to affect all your users, may be a mod for that. Most people consider this a feature however.

wbc

Nothing to do with cookies.
I change another PC and got same thing!

Tranz

If you don't want to be logged in, then click the logout link.

As Nibbler suggested, people like not having to log in after closing the browser.

That's what the logout link is for.

wbc

What I mean is:

Sometimes I forget to logout and close the browser.

Next time,  other user links to my cpg from another PC, he finds that I (the previous user) still login( on the board) and has to logout before login.

I think now it is clear

Let me get this straight.  You log onto your site from computer #1.  Another user logs onto your site from computer #2 and is logged in as you?
Do not send me a private message unless I ask for one.  Make your post public so everyone can benefit.

yes !

and He(from compter #2) has to logout(me)(case I have logoin in computer #1, forget to logout and shutdown the computer#1)  before he  logins(in computer #2) !

I remember an earlier post you made about running your own server thru some redirection service.  I'm guessing your problem is a combination of that redirect service and an improperly configured server.

Hi!

On the same computer#1 , I have no problem with PHPBB2(not integrated with cpg).

Joachim Müller

aargh - this is phpbb related, not related to coppermine at all. When bridging is enabled, coppermine doesn't have a user management of it's own, but uses the user management from your bbs. If your bbs has a stats page like phpbb has ("Who is online") and you're not happy with someone being shown as being online while he/she isn't, you'll have to address this on the phpbb support board, not the coppermine support board (although above suggestions apply: some call it a feature, others call it a bug...).
