sorry i am coming back again at this. Host provide us with full account backup in a zipped or tar format. if I make a restore from backup at the new host and use the same zipped file, will that recreate the database aswell or should I do it manualy? thank you.

Well that would depend on how your hosts' backup systems work. The key issues are 1) Files and 2) Database. If you get them both over then you're fine. You best bet is to do it manually, and test the backup before you leave your old host.

DONE. it was quite fast and painless.  here is the site if you would like to take a look > www.b514.com

thanks for the help

clicking on "Entrer/Enter" on your home page opens the gallery in a new browser window - that's a no-no imo: sites that do that usually get "punished" by the visitor leaving and never coming back. You shouldn't do that, there's no reason to nag users that way. This is of course not coppermine-related, but a matter of taste - so only a recommendation ;).

you have a point, though I never really thought of it as nagging. Thanks for the advice.
