Show X level album thumbnails in categories

I wonder if it is an idea to change the config option "Show first level album thumbnails in categories" to "Show X level album thumbnail in categories". Where X is the number of the levels to be shown. So 3 wil show thumbnails for 3 levels.

not a good idea imo - too many queries, too much confusion for newbies, difficult to "visually" implement. Category/album structure exists for easier navigation, displaying everything you have on the start page may work on small galleries (but then: why have sub-structures), but certainly not for huge galleries.
